New Year's Eve in Georgia! Georgia charms at any time of the year. In summer it beckons with sunshine, subtropical climate and unique mountain paths. In autumn it attracts visitors with the finest wine. In spring nature awakens to life, and green contrasts with the whiteness of the mountain peaks. And in winter? In addition to the excellent skiing conditions in the mountain resorts, it is also a sensational place to welcome the New Year!

Join us for an intensive New Year's Eve trip to Georgia! In addition to celebrating New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in Georgia, we will see some of Georgia's important monuments. We will marvel at the majesty of winter Kazbek and breathe deeply in the Georgian desert. We will pass through charming Sighnaghi and experience the winter face of Tbilisi.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1 (29.12.2022)
Meet at the airport in Warsaw at 4:00 a.m. Departure to Georgia. We will visit the Gelati Monastery Complex (UNESCO) with the tomb of King David the Builder of Georgia, Motsameta Monastery built on a rock and Bagrati Cathedral. We will stop in the historic center of Kutaisi and shop at a colorful market. Home-cooked dinner at the home of Georgian hosts.

DAY 2 (30.12.2022)
Drive to eastern Georgia. We will reach the area around the city of Gori, where we will visit the ancient rock-cut city of Uplistsikhe. We will then head to Georgia's first historical capital, Mtskheta. This is the religious center of the country with the unique Sveti Tskhoveli Cathedral (UNESCO), which hides the robe of Christ and the pillar of life, said to have healing properties. Driving along the historic and picturesque Georgian Military Road, we will reach the ski resort of Gudauri in the evening.

For those who wish, it is possible to organize night skiing or snowboarding. 

DAY 3 (31.12.2022)
After an early breakfast, we will set off towards the High Caucasus range. At the Jvari Pass we will see a colorful monument, depicting on a mosaic the medieval Queen Tamar accompanied by tractors and Yuri Gagarin. We will reach Stepantsminda, which is dominated by the majestic peak of Kazbek. We will see the unusually located Gergeti Monastery and the Darial Gorge. In the afternoon we will drive to Georgia's capital Tbilisi.

For those who prefer active rest to sightseeing, the possibility to stay in Gudauri and use the ski lifts.

In the evening we will have a New Year's Eve party at the Georgian house - the place where Georgians celebrate the New Year, with traditional Georgian music and dancing. The party will be supported by fine Georgian wine and chacha.

DAY 4 (1.01.2023)
After the New Year's Eve craziness, we have a sightseeing tour of Tbilisi ahead of us. We will see the beautiful panorama from the highest hill of the city - Mtatsminda, visit the most important monuments, including Narikala Fortress and the Old City. In the afternoon we can relax in Tbilisi's baths, followed by a delicious dinner accompanied by unique Georgian wine.

DAY 5 (2.01.2023)
From Tbilisi we will set off to explore Kakheti region. Through the picturesque Gombori Pass we will reach the regional capital Telavi, where we will stop at a local market. We will also visit the important Ikalto Orthodox Church. From there we will go on a tour of the famous Kakhetian vineyards, with a mandatory tasting. We will spend the night, of course, with just the right amount of aromatic wine, in the town of Sighnaghi.

DAY 6 (3.01.2023)
In the morning, near Sighnaghi, we will see the unusually located female Bodbe Monastery, the burial place of Saint Nino. Then driving through the steppe part of Georgia we will reach the monastery complex of David Gareja, located in a picturesque place on the border with Azerbaijan. Drive to Udabno, to an atmospheric oasis run by Poles - Kinga and Ksawery, located away from the hustle and bustle of the city amidst the Georgian steppe. In the evening, with a bit of good weather, the first campfire of the year!

DAY 7 (4.01.2023)
We leave Kakheti and head back to western Georgia. On the way we will visit one of the most beautiful monuments of Georgia - the rock-cut city of Vardzia. In the evening we will have a farewell home-cooked dinner at the home of our friendly Georgian hosts.

DAY 8 (5.01.2023)
Departure to Poland. Landing in the early afternoon in Warsaw.

• entrance tickets to the monuments (around 15 EUR)
• single room surcharge for the entire trip: 250 EUR

ACCOMODATION:
During the trip, 5x we will be accommodated in guesthouses/guest houses, 2x in a hotel with a separate bathroom. Rooms are mostly double (however, a group of friends or individual travelers of the same sex can also be accommodated in triple or quadruple rooms. For those who wish, there is the possibility of a single room for a surcharge of 250 EUR per stay.

FOOD:
The price of the tour includes breakfast and dinner each day (excluding one dinner in Tbilisi). A New Year's Eve party is also included in the price.

TRANSPORT:
During the whole trip there will be acomfortable minibus or bus with AC at our disposal.

GROUP:
The more people we are the more fun we'll have! The minimum number of participants is 8.

WEATHER:
The places we are going to visit are very different in terms of the weather. In the High Caucasus the temperature during this period can decrease to -15°C, while Kakheti and Tbilisi are the warmest regions of Georgia. Usually at the end of December and beginning of January the temperature is fluctuating between 0°C and 10°C. It's usually very windy in this period of time in the desert around Udabno.

FLIGHT:
The starting point of the trip is Warsaw Chopin Airport. For our foreign clients we also offer an opportunity to book the direct flight to Georgia from any place in Europe for an additional payment.
